College Chaplain

I love seeing children and young adults achieve the things that they didn’t think possible and grow in all the ways that make up a person whether that is socially, emotionally, spiritually, intellectually or physically as exemplified in the life of Jesus and described in Luke 2:52.

As College Chaplain, I will lead, guide and equip the staff and children of Petra to the end of seeing Christ’s Character formed in them, and to see this character expressed in the classroom, on the sports field and cultural spheres, to the glory of God. Engaging in sport, chatting to children on the playground, participating in the life of the school and helping the staff to the best of my ability and expertise are ways I see myself fulfilling this lofty objective.

As Chaplain, and with God’s help I will be:

• Engaging – At all levels within the Petra Community (1 Cor 9:22b)
• Encouraging – At all times (Heb 3:13)
• Exemplary – In word and action (Titus 2:7-8)
• Equipping – Forming Character (Proverbs 22:6)
• Empowering – Releasing Potential (Phil 4:13)
