Reinhard Ndlovu – Class of 2012

Reinhard Ndlovu

I left Petra in December 2012. One of the highlights from school was winning the Form 4 Science Award in 2010 – Mr Pimbirimano was my teacher at the time. Teachers I remember vividly, who impacted my life, are Mr Manyumwa, Mr and Mrs Phiri, Mr Sayers and Mr Aldridge.

By December 2012, when I left school, I had competed at the national Youth Games and got silver in the 400m. Then, later in December at the Zone VI games placed 3rd in the 400 (47.9), representing Zimbabwe. I graduated May 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA.

Achievements on the track:

  1. Summit league conference record holder in the 4×4 – 3:10:09
  2. School record holder 4×4 -3:06:27
  3. 4 top three finishes in individual events at conference.
  4. 2016 ran 46.71 to finish 88th in the whole nation and advance to NCAA first round championships in the 400.

I have just got married and have moved to Arkansas while my wife finishes up her last year of her Master’s degree. I am working in the finance sector and training for 2019 world champs. After she graduates, we plan to move to Dallas, Texas to begin our careers in August 2019.
