The Student Exchange Program

Tinashe says, “In our medical school programme at the end of our 4th year, we have a attachment at any hospital in the world (but at your own expense or some are funded). This is called an ‘Elective attachment.’

“Usually for these attachments, you have to facilitate the application process, travel arrangements, accommodation, food etc on your own. Through our student organisation SCOPE, we help facilitate these exchanges and make the process smoother. We have a number of exchange programmes. As SCOPE we help advertise these exchange programmes and in the process host students from other countries who come to do their attachment at University of Zimbabwe.

“For my attachment I am currently in South Korea for one month attached to General Surgery.”
